Some of my favorite exercises for beginner and intermediate students are from these books:
Wohlfahrt Op. 45 Book 1
Wohlfahrt Op. 74. Book 1
Dancla Op. 68
Kreutzer 40 Etudes
Sitt op. 32 Book 1
Mazas Op 36 Book 1

I highly suggest all of my students to look into musescore.org. This free, downloadable software allows you to not only write your own music, but it also has a database to search other music of all genres.

Struggling with intonation? Wanting to start Double-Stops? Here is a great place to start. These Double-Stops with drones (fingers on one string and an open string next to it) is a great way to get started!

Ready for more double-stops? Josephine Trott’s Melodious Double-Stops makes playing them fun in a more melodious way. ;)

Shifting!

There are wonderful exercises to help you with shifting from 1st position to 3rd position and back again. We can’t practice these enough. Having a very stable foundation for shifting will increase your ability to do more. These exercises are from the Maia Bang series.

Studies in Shifting with Josephine Trott! I’m pretty sure everything thing she touches is gold!

Some of my favorite Duets!
Pleyel Op. 8
